The exhibition PAPER ROAD is an initiative of IAPMA, the international association of papermakers and paper artists.
Every year, the IAPMA congress is held in another country to promote the international exchange of ideas and information, to promote the art of paper-making and to facilitate the artistic handling of paper. The host of this year was the Austrian Papiermachermuseum Steyrermühl.
The accompanying exhibition PAPER ROAD 2006 was themed "industry paper art".
It is shown as the second station in Germany in the Deggendorf museum.
